Hidden away down an alley, The Espresso Station has been a favourite with Hoi An’s coffee loving expats since opening in late 2015. The word’s out and tourists are discovering the place too. The menu features a full page of coffee options using beans from Dalat, that are roasted on-site. Most tastes are covered. There are also juices and some food options. The young owner, Trung, rents the space from his grandmother - who’s in her late 80s. It’s a traditional family home and you may see her wandering around. There’s indoor and outdoor seating - but this place is not designed for lingering. Some of the music seemed a poor fit for the place - Vietpop dance music. The coffee compensates. Espresso Station is located on the fringe of the old town.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We list the places we think are worth knowing about. Our Featured Listings allow a small selection of businesses already recommended by us, to pay a fee for a place at the top of our list. That’s it. Featured Listings have no impact on reviews, or on the curation and independence of our lists.
