Snorkelling and diving trips are probably the most popular activity for travellers to Nha Trang. Boat trips that focus more on swimming, village visits and swimming are also popular.

Nha Trang’s coral and marine life offerings may be well short of world's best but they attract plenty of visitors each year. The city sports a good supply of dive companies as well as boat trip operators that offer more casual trips of swimming, snorkelling with some touring thrown in.

The quality of the diving is more suited to casual divers or those wanting to do get some accreditation. The bay is beautiful so a day spent cruising, snorkelling, diving and visiting some of the islands is well spent.

For divers, here are two of Nha Trang’s most popular operators -

Sailing Club Divers, 72-74 Tran Phu., +84 58 352 2788,
Rainbow Divers, 058-826-528

Boat trips are easily booked around town. Snorkellers are welcome on dive trips but these don’t normally include island visits and are more expensive. Some of the more casual trips are sold as party boats for backpackers so be sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.
