One of the nicest eco-lodges in Cambodia. Lovingly created on a mountainside with stunning views. A model natural eco-lodge and a favourite.

Location

Seclusion is part of the concept here so access to the town and the beach is an effort on foot. Better done by motorbike which will take around 10 minutes. Built into the mountainside, the natural beauty of the location and its views are ample compensation for the distance from town.

Review

You've probably already guessed that Le Bout Du Monde is French owned. It was the first and remains one of the nicest of the region's eco-resorts. Delightfully simple Khmer style bungalows are set in lush forest  looking across the hills to the sea. It's a well thought out simplicity. The minimal decorative features are perfect.

Even if you're not staying at Le Bout Du Monde, breakfast or a sunset dinner from the restaurant are a great way to sample the atmosphere and the environment.

Staff are also excellent.

This place takes its eco and responsible travel mission seriously. But that doesn't in any way diminish its relaxed and friendly feel.

You'll need to be pretty mobile to navigate this property.

Facilities brief:
Ceiling fan (no aircon), included breakfast, in-room wifi, ensuite, hot water, electricity  restaurant, bar,
