Cool, classic little cocktail bar just outside Bassac Lane on St 308 serving the standards and some tasty originals too.

Phnom Penh's Bassac Lane has burst its banks and Le Boutier is one of the highlights of a crop of new places in this buzzing little slice of the city. Owned by American Annemarie and her Khmer partner, Le Boutier is serious about cocktails, quality spirits and all things cool.

The signature cocktails have locally inspired names and flavours - I had one named after a favourite tuk-tuk driver. Others reference pre-1975 Khmer singers, artists and songs.

The soundtrack draws heavily on Cambodia's psychedelic pre-1975 music scene.

Prices are reasonable for what’s on offer - and there are specials early in the week.

The main bar is smoke free. There’s are an airy rooftop for smokers. Perfect.
