Location
The Boutique Hoi An Resort is located around 5kms or 10 minutes from Hoi An by taxi on a nice stretch of Cua Dai beach that has not been impacted by the severe erosion affecting resorts further south. There’s little to see or do immediately around the resort (apart from the picturesque beach) so you’ll likely be heading to Hoi An when you want to head outside the resort or An Bang Beach for a change of beach scenery. The area is reasonably cycle friendly as well.
Review
The beach strip between Hoi An and Danang is littered with resorts. Some are awful. Some are mediocre. A handful are nicely done. Boutique Hoi An Resort, is definitely in the "nicely done" class.
A large plot of land with a handsome beach frontage has been developed with restraint. Lush green common gardens dominate - the impulse to overbuild, so common around Hoi An has been kept in check.
There are 82 rooms across the block. Room interiors don't change a whole lot, apart from the 10 deluxe villas, which are much larger.
The superior rooms are in a large 4 story building furthest from the beach. At 31sqm with balconies looking over the lush grounds, they’re a good option. Deluxe rooms are similar in decor and size but are in smaller blocks of four. They're closer to the beach too.
The pool’s a good size and sits nicely in the grounds.
Brief
Large pool, spa, generous grounds, free wifi, restaurant.
