Travellers looking to spend up in Can Tho might like to consider the Victoria Can Tho Resort. Located on the riverfront slightly away from the downtown action, it's probably the nicest deluxe property in the Mekong Delta. The newly opened Nam Bo hotel is right in the centre of town on the riverfront and is also nicely done.
In the mid range, things are pretty grim with bland and often overpriced options clustered around the river. These places are perfectly comfortable but they shatter any illusions of quaint rustic accommodations that travellers may bring to the Mekong Delta.
Most travellers only spend a night in Can Tho and you probably won't spend a lot of time in your hotel - unless you're staying at the Victoria. If you do decide to book the Victoria, make it worth your while and spend at least a couple of nights.
