Visiting the main sights listed in our Tra Vinh selection will also give you a good look at the town and the surrounding countryside. The cycling is enjoyable on flat, reasonably good and uncongested roads. Motorbikes and motorcycle taxis are also available. Tra Vinh town is a mix of old French colonial shophouses and some grander villas increasingly obscured by unsightly high-rise buildings the likes of which have appeared in most Vietnamese towns during the past two decades. The surrounding countryside of the province is lush green with plenty of local life in small streetside markets and farms.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We list the places we think are worth knowing about. Our Featured Listings allow a small selection of businesses already recommended by us, to pay a fee for a place at the top of our list. That’s it. Featured Listings have no impact on reviews, or on the curation and independence of our lists.
