Recently opened high-rise hotel looking over Nha Trang’s bay with all mod cons. Reasonably cosy for a high-rise hotel. Small pool is a disappointment.

Location

In the centre of town looking directly over the bay. Good access to the beach - after crossing busy Tran Phu St as well as city attractions and restaurants. Beach water cleanliness suffers from Cai river outflow - especially after heavy rains.

Review

The newly opened Novotel Nha Trang is another recent high-rise arrival to Nha Trang’s ocean front. It feels a little more boutique than its international branded counterpart, the Sheraton, a little further down the road. Pool is disappointingly tight for those uneasy with a dip in the ocean - which is often dirty.

Design, ambience, people

Nha Trang’s high rise beach strip is taking shape and the Novotel is there making its contribution with 154 rooms over 18 floors.

Like the nearby Sheraton, the exterior has a slightly retro look by our reckoning. The interiors are colourful and modern. The lobby is refreshingly intimate and bright. During our visit, contemporary Vietnamese photography was on display.

Rooms are also bright and modern with balconies that look along Tran Phu Boulevard and the bay. The pool is small, which might be a problem for guests hoping for a dip. After heavy rains, the bay is too dirty for swimming.

Staff are friendly and add to the cosy atmosphere of the hotel.

Facilities
Free wifi throughout, spa, smallish pool, fitness centre and more.
