If you like your beach holidays in hyper-modern high-rise hotels that tower over the beach, the Sheraton Nha Trang may be the thing for you.

Location

Overlooking Nha Trang’s main beach in the centre of town with great views of the bay. Busy Tran Phu St separates the hotel from the beach. This section of the beach is quite close to the mouth of the Cai River so water quality is questionable after periods of heavy rain. Easy access to the city sights, restaurants and bars.

Review

Development of Nha Trang's beach front has been moving apace for a decade now. The Sheraton (2010) was the first five star high-rise hotel on the strip. Other major international brands have followed.

It's a classic Sheraton - shiny, slick and modern with friendly efficient staff. The big city hotel feel is softened by pool and spa facilities that are among the best in town.

Design, ambience and people

All rooms enjoy views across the bay. Views are especially captivating in the suites at the front of the building. Depending on elevation, though vertigo sufferers should avoid looking down to the beach.

Room decor is a tad flat but not jarring.

The lobby is bright but cavernous adding to the big city hotel feel.

The hotel has an allocated piece of beach directly across the road. It's picturesque but swimmers should note that water cleanliness is variable.

The infinity pool on level 6 is a good alternative. It’s large (21 metres) with great views across the bay and plenty of lounge area as well. Spa facilities also add some resort feel.

There are plenty of restaurants and bar options as you’d expect from a hotel of this size.

Staff are bright, friendly and well trained to Sheraton standards.

Facilities
Beach space, infinity pool, spa, restaurants and bars, club lounge, limited free wifi in common areas, cooking school.
