Hillstation Deli is still our favourite place for a quiet glass of wine and a plate of cheese in Sapa.
Things are still pretty tame around town, which is good, but a few backpacker bars have popped up. There are a couple around the Muong Hoa valley road. There are also a few along Cau May and Fansipan.
You’ll hear them before you see them. Not the crowds but the music.
We checked out Nature Bar and a few others. They were all fine for a quiet drink. And no doubt when there are sufficient numbers of rice-wine infused backpackers, or on weekends, when locals are out in force, the party picks up.
