Accommodation options on Con Son Island - the main island of the Con Dao archipelago - are still very limited and prices have shot up in recent years as traveller demand has surged.
The biggest recent development was the opening of the deluxe Six Senses Resort. With rates starting from around US$600 per night, this is not for everbody.
While the rest of Con Son's accommodations are simple and small, they're adequate and provide a good base for exploration of an island that is certain to be deluged with travellers in the years ahead.
We list five hotel options. Six Senses Con Dao is the only deluxe property. The rest are comfortable enough and well located.
If you want to be right on a swimmable beach, Six Senses Con Dao, Con Dao Resort and Con Dao Seatravel Hotel are the best options. Saigon Con Dao and ATC Con Dao look over the bay in the small town.
