There are lots of sports-mad expats in Saigon - so travellers wanting to catch an important game of football, rugby, cricket and most other major international sports, can usually do so in good company.
Australian owned Phatty's is busy most nights and packs them in when there's a grand final or a major event. The beers and other refreshments flow freely, service is friendly and there are plenty of screens.
Saigon's other large sports bar, Game On, also Australian owned, is a short walk from Phatty's too - so it's easy to check out both bars and work out which one you prefer.
Sports loving Australians looking for a taste of home will find it at Phatty’s. And there are Brits, Kiwis and other global sports lovers in the mix as well.
Phatty's also serves decent pub grub - burgers, pizzas and steaks. The breakfast is said to be hearty as well - though we've not tried it.
