Saigon Outcast is a little haven of indie creative energy in the heart of Saigon’s conservative expat enclave. Located in District 2, around 20 minutes from downtown by taxi in light traffic, it’s very much an outcast in a part of the city that tries hard to pretend it isn’t in Vietnam at all. Shipping containers, a skateboard ramp, graffiti art, a steady stream of interesting events and a friendly vibe, have made Saigon Outcast popular with expat and local creatives. The event list includes live music, farmer's markets. craft beer festivals and more.  It’s mainly outdoors so not so good in a storm. If you’re staying downtown, you’ll want to check that there’s something happening before making the journey out.
