Heron House Location
Set in rice paddies down a small lane between Hoi An town and the beach - you can cycle to both. A taxi to town will taken 10 - 15 minutes - less time to the beach. The rural vistas are a highlight. You will be part of a local community too - some days may begin with the sounds of local life. Go with it!
Heron House Review
I stumbled upon Heron House cycling in the Hoi An countryside one afternoon. I'd heard good things about it before but never seen it. Turns out it's a lovely creation in an idyllic rural setting. The three rooms are stunning. You may be better selecting an upstairs room for privacy and a slightly better outlook - but they're all huge (65sqm) and nicely done.
There’s a large common kitchen and dining area and a pool - perfect for cooling off during the Hoi An summer.
You can rent out the entire villa for a group or just take a single room.
This place is for travellers who want something different to a hotel experience - you can search the property on Airbnb. As with an Airbnb, you're staying in a local community so you may experience some local noise from time to time - but that can happen in hotels too in Vietnam. Consider it part of the experience.
Heron House might not be a hotel but there is plenty of help around if you need it. Breakfast is prepared for guests and there is an option for other meals.
