Pho Minh is one of Saigon’s oldest pho joints, and one of the best morning doses of the southern beef variety - right downtown. Opened in the 1950s by the family patriarch Minh, his daughter Sau and her offspring now run the show. Pho Minh is hidden away down an interesting old Saigon style alley off Pasteur St. It opens early and closes around 10AM each morning, or when the pho runs out. Mdm Sau isn't very fond of being photographed, so ask before you shoot. We’re right nearby at the Old Compass Cafe, in the same alley. Come and grab a coffee and say hi after you’ve finished your pho.
