Located between Cam Ranh airport and Nha Trang town, Mia Resort is a good choice if you’re seeking out comfortable beachside seclusion with an option for an occasional swing into Nha Trang town for seafood and nightlife.

Location

Mia Resort is located 18kms from Cam Ranh airport and 12kms from Nha Trang town. The hotel operates a regular free shuttle to town and taxis aren’t too expensive either if you need to head back yourself.

The resort is secluded so you’ll need to either eat in the resort’s Sandals restaurant or head into Nha Trang town. There are no options within walking distance outside the resort.

Review

Mia Resort is a low-rise 50 room modern villa resort positioned on a green patch between a spectacular cliff face and the sea. A handful of rooms are located on the cliff with sweeping sea views - and a climb or buggy ride to the beach. Most are at sea-level - and a short stroll to the resort’s private beach.

There are 7 room categories that vary in location (cliff or beach) and view (sea or garden). Lead-in rooms are a generous 40sqm and each room has a private garden ranging in size from 30sqm to 180sqm in suites.

There are three family condos and 16 villas / suites with private pools.

Room decor, like the villas, is minimalist and has a California feel with stone walls and angular timber fixtures.

Villas are well placed around the manicured grounds so there’s plenty of privacy and space.

The beach is an interesting mix of sand and rock and has been deserted each time I’ve visited. It’s best feature may be that it’s clean - which is more than can be said of the main beach in Nha Trang town for large parts of the year. The sea is mostly calm but can be stirred up in a storm.

There’s an option for snorkelling and water sports as well.

If you’re beach shy, there’s a nice pool - that is perhaps a little on the small side.

And if you’re done with the sun, the resort spa get very good raps.

Facilities brief
Pool, spa, private beach, free wifi, flat screen TV, restaurant, bar.
